Ananda Yoga for Embracing Heart Strength & Expansion — Workshop

Backbends strengthen the heart by charging the kidneys, aiding in breathing with a wider diaphragm, and creating space between the spinal vertebrae. On an energetic level, backbends transition you from the past into the present—the only place where true happiness resides. Backbends also facilitate the opening of three major centers in the body—the pelvis, the heart, and the throat. This workshop will guide you in bringing the energy of the lower three chakras into the heart center and bring joy into your life.

Swami Kriyananda’s Birthday Kirtan & Stories

This evening we celebrate the birth on May 19, 1926 of Ananda's founder, Swami Kriyananda with a joyful kirtan of chants and music by Paramhansa Yogananda and Swami Kriyananda, with story telling by Nayaswami Padma, blessed treats, and more. The program is from 7 to 8:30pm with an optional meditation until 9pm.
