Daily Inspirational Readings from The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam
Weekday readings from The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, Explained by Paramhansa Yogananda (Edited by Swami Kriyananda).
Beginning Friday, January 22, Nayaswamis Hriman and Padma McGilloway began reading the first of seventy-five quatrains: one each Monday through Friday, broadcast live at noon and then posted for later viewing on theAnandaWA.org website, the Ananda Washington YouTube channel, and on the Facebook page Ananda Seattle and Bothell. In ten to fifteen minutes each broadcast, they will begin with Swami Kriyananda’s singing of that quatrain, and then they will share insights from the commentaries blended with their personal comments and stories, and the broader teachings of Self-realization.

Swami Kriyananda wrote 150 books and it would take a person a very long time to read all of these treasures against time. So our members are participating in these one-hour Zoom classes, “Satsang with Swami Kriyananda” during which each class presents a summary of the highlights of one of Swamiji’s books.
Presented by various Ananda members these presentations are inspired yet informal and a great way to meet others of like-mind. more
Ananda Yoga for Beginners

It can be intimidating to attend a regular yoga class for the first time. We may think, “but I can’t touch my toes!” Yoga is not about touching your toes! Nor is yoga about bending your body into a pretzel shape. Yoga truly is for everybody and the only yoga posture you “fail” at is the one you don’t do. How your poses look outwardly is not the measure of your success. You can receive great benefit even if your poses don’t look like anyone else’s. Progress in yoga is directional! It’s all a matter of taking your own next steps. This class will help you get started. more

These retreats have been designed specifically for those who have taken one or more of the Learn to Meditate classes (or Fullness Series classes.) However, they are open to anyone with meditation experience. more
