Vahini Om E-RYT 500 I YACEP
November/December Topic: “Ananda Yoga: The Art of Natural Meditation”
One of the fundamental goals of Hatha Yoga is to prepare the body and mind for meditation. In this November series, each class is designed to promote a positive experience of meditation.
This series is suitable for both beginners and those wishing to enrich an existing practice.
Ananda Yoga is a classical Hatha Yoga practice developed by Swami Kriyananda, based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda. It uses asana, pranayama, and silent affirmations to awaken and harmonize subtle energies (prana), calm the mind, and elevate awareness. The practice combines static and dynamic postures, focusing on conscious movement and inner attunement rather than athletic performance. Ananda Yoga guides practitioners toward inner bliss (ananda), mental clarity, and harmony of body, mind, and spirit.
Vahini is an experienced teacher, with over 3,000 hours of teaching.
Class Structure:
- Dynamic Energizing Warm-up (15 min)
- Yoga Poses (45 min)
- Deep Relaxation (10min) & Meditation (5 min)
If you are new to Ananda Yoga, your first class is FREE!
