At Heart Song Hermitage, seva—selfless service offered to God—is at the heart of everything we do. Seva is more than helping out; it’s a spiritual practice that uplifts both the giver and the space being served. If you feel inspired to support Heart Song through your time and energy, we welcome you to join us in this sacred work.

Ongoing Seva Opportunities

We’re grateful for those who feel called to offer their service on a regular or seasonal basis. The maintenance of Heart Song is sustained by a small but devoted team, and there are many ways to get involved:

  • Gardening – Help care for the rose garden, maintain paths and borders, or support seasonal planting and pruning.
  • Cleaning – Keep our sacred spaces fresh and beautiful with light cleaning tasks around the grounds and in Sirenity Cottage.
  • Handyman skills – If you’re experienced in small repairs, painting, carpentry, or basic property upkeep, your help would be especially valuable.

Event-Based Seva

Throughout the year, we host a variety of events, including retreats, celebrations, and sacred gatherings. Volunteers are often needed for:

  • Set-up and clean-up
  • Kitchen or meal service
  • Greeting and welcoming guests
  • Assisting with parking or logistics

Those who serve during events may be eligible for a discounted rate or partial scholarship, depending on the nature and duration of their service.
