Do You Need A Personal “Savior?”

Yogananda’s life as he shared in his famous autobiography was a search for both universal truth AND the “concomitant” disciple-guru relationship. Here in the West we often hear Christians insist that if “You do not accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior you will go to HELL!” That’s enough to make one run for the hills. But what if it is true? The “law” of life is perfect in “love.” Success in life depends (usually) on hard work but the realization of success is a matter of joy and satisfaction. This is true in health, relationships, career and in the spiritual life. The things we do to grow spiritually generate the magnetism to draw the divine grace. The experience of grace is the experience of divine love, wisdom and joy! As we are personal so God has become personal in us and so, too, does God come to us as our guru, our personal savior.
