What is Kriya Yoga?
Kriya Yoga is an ancient meditation technique of energy and breath control (Pranayama). According to Paramhansa Yogananda, the author of the spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi, Kriya Yoga is the most effective technique available to mankind to reach the goal of Yoga: union with God.  More than just a technique, Kriya Yoga includes the practices and attitudes that inform the rest of our life.

What will the class cover?
Students will be lead through a guided meditation to begin the class.  Then we will offer an overview of Kriya Yoga – what it is, where it comes from, and why it is referred to as the ‘airplane route to God.’  We will discuss the lineage of Kriya Masters and give an overview of the technique; its effects and how it is practiced.

You will also have a chance to meet with senior teachers who will discuss their experience with Kriya Yoga after decades of practice.

Note that we will not be teaching the actual Kriya technique in this class.
