Tuning in to Your Soul Nature: A Men’s Retreat

September 19, 2025 @ 7:00 pm September 21, 2025 @ 4:00 pm PDT

The essence of the spiritual path is learning to listen and tune into guidance from our higher Self in whatever life brings us.  Whether we’re on the yogic path or not, the awareness of inner focus and integrity (represented by the danda, or staff) is key to successfully meeting life’s challenges, of which we all have plenty. In this 3 day immersion of sharing with each other how we are doing this now and how we would like to do it more, we’ll work with our own inspirations and questions, as well as with Yogananda and Swami Kriyananda’s teachings, guidance, and support.

We’ll share in morning chanting, yoga and meditation, satsang gatherings with discussions and more chanting, high-vibe vegetarian meals, and we’ll actually each make our own staff from wood from the surrounding forests, imbue it with spiritual blessings, and then use that staff to help us hike a nearby mountain trail up to a beautiful lake, where we will meditate, journal, have lunch, and whatever else may arise. That’s just a few of the highlights, there is much more we will create together.

Meet Your Retreat Guides

Kevin, RYT-200, discovered there are many ways to practice yoga postures. In Ananda Yoga, focusing our energy inward and upward during and after a yoga pose is a kind of moving meditation that opens up many hidden potentials and realizations about ourselves.  Kevin’s curiosity and joy for the art and science of yoga provides a great window into the art of teaching yoga!
Jaidhara has been a member of Ananda for many years, serving in both Italy and India.  He has spent time as a monk and as Swami Kriyananda’s personal chef.  Currently, he is serving as co-manager of East West Bookshop in Edmonds, and is a guest speaker at the Ananda Blue Lotus Temple. He is also one of the guides on the Kriya Preparation team.
Rick is a Lightbearer and minister at Ananda Washington.  He is the office manager, and coordinates temple activities.
