For everyone’s safety, we ask EVERYONE to WEAR A MASK inside the Blue Lotus Temple as outlined below. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Update on Mask-wearing at Ananda Blue Lotus Temple:

A joint statement by the following counties has just been released on July 26, 2021 and is excerpted here: “The health officers of King, Pierce, Snohomish, Kitsap, Clallam, Jefferson, San Juan, and Grays Harbor counties have joined together to …. recommend all residents wear facial coverings when in indoor public settings where the vaccination status of those around you is unknown.”

We at the Blue Lotus Temple feel that it is wise to follow this recommendation for the larger gatherings in the sanctuary room which take place on Sundays at the temple. At other times or occasions at the temple, we feel that it is less compelling to follow this recommendation.

As a reminder, at all times indoors, the state-wide policy is to require unvaccinated individuals to wear a face-covering. In effect, the change in policy just announced extends mask-wearing indoors to everyone and we are suggesting this: We intend only to apply this recommendation at the larger gatherings and more extended assembly-period that takes place on Sundays from about 9 a.m. to noon.
