Nayaswami Jamuna will present this fascinating and timely telling of how greatness can find its way to the Presidency of the United State. She writes:
“We will take a look at the lives and leadership of George Washington, John Adams, and Abraham Lincoln. These presidents of the United States exhibited appropriate and inspired leadership at a time when the country was teetering on the brink. In the case of George Washington and John Adams the issues were about how to put together a central government and how to govern the states in a fruitful balance of power. In the case of Abraham Lincoln, it was a matter of how to manage the Civil War when everything threatened to come apart. Each man was dedicated to higher principals, was aware of a Higher Powerand relied on those to guide him through the challenges of his term in office.”
Of her background, Jamuna writes: “In college I specialized in art history and later received a degree in library science. I showed up initially at Ananda Village in 1972. In 1980 served with my husband Vasudeva, for 2 decades plus, through the Palo Alto Sangha as co-manager, of East West Bookshop. I have been serving through Ananda Washington as minister, teacher, Lightbearer and artist since 1996.
