Yoga Teacher Trainers
Murali Venkatrao is the Director of Yoga Teacher Training at the Ananda Institute of Living Yoga. The Institute is an RYS 200 and RYS 300 registered school. Born in India, he practiced yoga there he was eight years old. Murali has studied different variations of Hatha Yoga both in India and the US. He has been teaching Yoga for the past 14 years. Formerly a Software Architect at Microsoft, Murali is currently pursuing his PhD in Yoga at Prashanti Kuteeram in Bangalore, India.
Michelle David teaches the Hatha Yoga Intensive, plus ongoing Ananda Yoga Classes, specialty yoga workshops such as the Yogasana series, and the popular Superconscious Living course. She is an experienced meditation teacher and assists with the Raja Yoga Intensive as well. As a sideline, Michelle is the building and planning coordinator for the Temple facility.

Hriman is the co-spiritual director, with his wife Padma, of Ananda in Washington State. Hriman moved to Ananda Village in California in 1977, where he served as financial director for the worldwide Ananda work. He later managed the Expanding Light guest retreat at Ananda Village.
In 1993, Swami Kriyananda asked Hriman and Padma to serve as directors of Ananda in Seattle. Hriman’s early studies in Catholic theology give him a profound respect for the shared truths of all religions, and the practical benefits of Raja Yoga.
Audiences at his Sunday services and classes appreciate his gentle humor and practical insights for living, drawn from the ancient yoga teachings. Hriman is an ordained Lightbearer and Kriyacharya of Ananda Church of Self-Realization.
