Writing to Tap Intuition @ Ananda Meditation Temple
Mar 3 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Bekka3 Tuesdays, March 3, 10, & 17  7:30 to 9 p.m in Bothell

This three-week class presented by Rebecca Davis, a college-level writing teacher, is for those who would like to learn how to use writing to apply intuition to real-life challenges. Drawing on books such as Intuition for Starters and Awaken to Superconsciousness by Swami Kriyananda, as well as the latest scholarly research on the relationship of intuition and language, we will practice a variety of exercises designed to put us in contact with true intuitive guidance. In addition, we will:
• Learn ways to tell the difference between the voice of the ego and divinely-inspired guidance.
• Experience the many ways that intuition communicates with us, and identify which modalities are best suited to us individually.
• Consider the difference between left-brain and right-brain use of language, and learn how to skillfully employ the right technique at the right time.
• Discover the power of attention, word choice and stories to shape our experience.
• Apply intuition to current life-situations, including difficult environments, health challenges, and dreams.

Dharma is Joy! Turning “Duty” into “Beauty” @ Ananda Meditation Temple
Mar 4 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

3 Wednesdays, March 4, 11, 18.

The path of right action may seem unpleasant to the comfort-seeking ego, but once embraced with creativity and joy, duty flowers into the beauty of joy and inner freedom. Be a spiritual Alchemist and learn that the cup of life can be more than half-full.

Using some of Paramhansa Yogananda’s readings on the subject of dharma, we will examine the ways and techniques that will help us:

  • be wayshowers instead of wayfarers
  • gain impetus instead of lethargy
  • go from unconscious to superconscious
  • find the practice of our lives instead of its examination
  • Discover the secret of success, happiness and the way to fulfill one’s destiny.

Yoga is for everyone! Join us for all or part of the afternoon and evening.

Part 1 – A Celebration of Yoga, 3 to 7 p.m.
3:00 – 5:15 p.m. Energization, Yoga for the Chakras, Pranayam & Meditation
5:30 p.m. Fire ceremony, arati, chants & meditation

Group Meditation @ Ananda Meditation Temple
Mar 7 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Both new and experienced meditators benefit from meditating with a group. Ananda offers many opportunities to meditate with others and experience the joy and peace that meditation inspires.

Saturday night meditation begins with a short period of chanting, followed by silent meditation until a chanting break at 8 pm. Silent meditation continues then until shortly before 9 pm, when the meditation closes with healing prayers. You are welcome to join us for all or part of this time. Please enter and exit the sanctuary quietly, preferably during chanting periods.

The Saturday night meditation begins with one hour of chanting (kirtan) one Saturday night each month. See the Event Calendar for Kirtan dates.
