The topic this week is “Do You Need a Guru?” Yogananda said basically that no, you don’t but then again yes you do. How is that so? We know many Westerners scoff at the idea of a Guru! The good old American -” I can do it myself” virtue – is very strong for many, and yet Jesus emphasized the importance of having a teacher when he asked John to Baptize him saying, “It becometh us to fulfill all righteousness.”
