A monk once asked Paramhansa Yogananda, “Will I ever leave the spiritual path?” Yogananda’s sympathetic response was, “How can you? We are all on the spiritual path!” Yet, there are obstacles, aren’t there! We have forever to find freedom and we can delay and procrastinate for countless lifetimes. Scary, eh? One of the greatest usurpers of our spiritual commitment is the tendency to compare ourselves to others and to wrongly conclude we are unworthy or unfit for the journey.
